Controlled Environment Agriculture

Controlled Environment Agriculture is the future of farming. Understanding how to grow plants using controlled environments has become increasingly important as climate change, water scarcity, food insecurity and land degradation continue to threaten our traditional approaches to farming. UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education, in partnership with University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR), is leading the charge on this new frontier with its online controlled environment agriculture (CEA) courses. Providing comprehensive training in the technical and business aspects of vertical farming, urban agriculture and indoor farming, these courses have been designed to help you succeed in the CEA industry. Courses can be taken individually or as part of the Controlled Environment Agriculture Professional Concentration.
